Our story
Careerkind began with a simple idea: to bring more kindness into the way we work and hire.
After years of working inside HR teams at large organisations and partnering with small businesses, startups, and scaleups as a fractional Head of Talent, we have seen the same challenges play out time and again. Businesses under pressure to “fill the role fast.” Individuals losing confidence in the process. The human side of work getting lost somewhere in between.
Careerkind was created to change that.
Today, we help both sides of the hiring table find their fit, supporting small to mid-sized businesses to build values-led teams and mid-career professionals to take their next step with clarity and confidence.
We combine empathy and strategy in equal measure – helping you achieve your goals without losing your sanity (or your spark) along the way.


Meet our Founder
Hey, I’m Natalie Colton – founder of Careerkind, mum of two, and long-time expat who’s called six countries home.
Recruitment has been the thread running through my career, weaving through roles in talent acquisition, career development, marketing, and business operations. I’ve led hiring at all levels – from early careers to senior leadership across large organisations like RMIT University, Telstra, and the Department of Justice, as well as startups and scaleups finding their feet during my time as Head of Talent at We Are Charlotte.
Having lived in lots of countries growing up, I learned early on what it means to adapt, start fresh, and build community – experiences that shaped how I approach people, work, and change. Later, as a mum of two navigating my own career and ambitious life goals, along with the need for flexibility, I saw how much better work feels when it fits real life.
After years working inside HR teams and alongside growing businesses, I started Careerkind to make recruitment and career development more human – with clarity, care, and (of course) kindness.
